A right click - exclude option for hidden volumes right on props and tiles.

What Feature would you like to see included within TaleSpire?


The option to exclude tiles via a right click system on the tile itself. It’s very difficult at times to use the shape of a hide volume and not have it hit some object that is part of a wall. this would go a long way to making hide volumes more efficient. Instead of 3 to 5 separate hide volumes in a shaped rooms that you need in order to hide everything, you can have one generic one, and then just toggle off the walls or props you want to keep visible. It allows more control.

 

What situations would this Feature be useful?

For example. I have a ship with a shaped hull. it curves around and out. The hide volume is square, so it intersecsts parts of that side wall. I have to use several cubes to hide things, and no matter how careful I am, there are parts of the ships hull that have hit a hide wall somewhere (that I can’t determine for the life of me) and are hiding pieces of it. If I could just exclude these pieces… there would be no problem.

 

Additional Thoughts/Details

Not that it’s necessary, but if you could somehow combine that with the group mode you are working on now to draw / select objects to hide, that would help even more. It would be easier than trying to draw a box around them.
