Fix for prop variations potentially clogging the library
What Feature would you like to see included within TaleSpire?
Some other games have features such as this that can keep the menu’s condensed while still providing a lot of variants of the same item. For instance instead of having the “weapons” tab have Axe vertical and axe laying down you would simply have Axe then that axe has sub forms that can be cycled through with a key +scroll wheel or something else.
What situations would this Feature be useful?
This would allow for the Skeleton lying down and skeleton standing up situation to be resolved without have 3 different skeleton variants displayed in the assets library.
This could also extend to variations of walls such as wall and wall with window etc.
Additional Thoughts/Details
While the game I am suggesting taking a look at doesn’t QUITE fit the bill for what you guys will need it does somewhat display a potential resolution to your problem:
Space Engineers has blocks that require LOADS of variants such as 1 corner cut off and half blocks, Large grid, Small grid, etc. I believe their solution for this issue may give you all ideas on how you can keep the GUI clean but continue to add more stuff.
(Honestly still hoping for xyz rotation to some degree but I’ll take what I can get)
