Grand Academia/Library Set
What Asset(s) would you like to see included within TaleSpire?
What does it look like, how is it used. Paint us a figurative picture.
Picture a set of bookcases, possibly of a darker wood to better match existing sets like the Castle or Moorgoth sets. These bookshelves could be modular/stackable, to cater to a variety of library or study heights. These bookcases, at least as I am imagining them currently, would function more like wall pieces than furniture. A single bookcase itself could be exactly wall height. Similar to the Marble Palace set, there could be three main versions: one with a base accent that’s meant for the floor, one basic piece that would be the center, and a third one specifically for reaching the ceiling. There could even be corner pieces to create twisting, labyrinthian libraries!
There could even be smaller decorative pieces, like podiums or scroll cases and displays. Such a set could even include a secret bookcase door; whether sliding, swinging or spinning would be best, I’m not totally sure.
What situations would the Asset(s) be useful in?
Descriptions, examples - or show us a literal picture. That works too.
Such an asset set could find great use in municipal buildings, like a townhall; or in grand buildings with large rooms that need filling up, like a castle or creepy mansion! Maybe instead of a standard dungeon, a particular adventure leads a party to the deepest layers of a powerful magician’s personal sanctum; a library the size of which none of the adventurers has ever seen!
I myself noticed the potential in this idea while building a rather large, multi-roomed, abbey. Intending to fill space by making one of the rooms something akin to a scriptorium, I realized that the current selection of bookshelves/bookcases was not only limited, but of a much smaller scale that didn’t feel proportional to the taller rooms I’d created.
Additional Thoughts/Details
Much like the more recent Marble Palace set, I feel a similarly grand set would always be appreciated for the design potential offered.
Also thank you for all the amazing work the team has put in and continues to put in.
