High CPU usage with bad internet connection

Describe the Bug
Here tell us what you thought was meant to happen and then how TaleSpire vomited on itself

A user on the discord reported that the CPU load was very high (pinned at 100%) suddenly and later found out it was due to their connection being bad. No errors on the console, so I’m guessing it was a high packet loss scenario, not an outright disconnect. 

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

• Have a shaky connection

• Start TaleSpire

• Suddenly TaleSpire uses a lot more CPU than usual and programs like discord or a browser in the background completely lag out
