My Hero Forge Minis are only visible on new campaigns

Using talespire via steam, we have a campaign running and the GM has been able to import his characters and so has one of the other players but I have not been able to import mine into the campaign. When I open the character linking menu I do not see any of my characters but when I create a new campaign myself I can see the character and link it to my campaign.

The error log in the console is empty btw so I see no clear error here.
