Players Spawn the Minis They Control and Spawn Point Markers
What Feature would you like to see included within TaleSpire?
Like the title suggests, if the GM has assigned permissions to allow a player to control a mini, that player should be able to place that mini into the game. The other part to this request is to add a toggle to the Marker block that allows the players to see the marker block so they know where they should place their minis when the GM fetches them to a new board.
The way it could look is when the player opens the library they can see the minis the GM has given them permission to control and then they can select and place them in the normal way a GM would. If the GM has given them control over some unique minis then the player can see those minis in the Unique Creatures list on the right side of the screen, the same way the GM would find them.
I would also suggest if the GM gives a player control over a unique mini then the player can only have one copy of that mini on the board at a time, but if the GM assigns a control of a non-unique mini then the player can place as many as they want. You could have some function to limit the number, but I think that overcomplicates the feature I am requesting and would have to be part of a greater permissions system.
What situations would this Feature be useful?
If players are able to summon a Familiar or other temporary creature they need to be able control, this feature would make it a lot easier to summon those creatures again in the future and it is a lot less work on the GM.
In my own game I have created unique minis from light sources, like the flames prop, so the players that can use spells to create light can have a light source they can move around, but when they need to create it again I have to go through all the steps to find it, place it, and give permission to that player to control it. It would be a lot simpler to do all that one time and then from that point on the players can do it themselves with ease.
I also use the Condition Rings found in the Community Content and it would be great to not have to go through all the steps each time the Ranger casts Hunter’s Mark.
