Stuck in Place between boards

Describe the Bug
I tried to open a campaign I created to experiment ab it with various things. On loading in, I get the error "The Place between Boards"  and am promted to press space, in order to open the board menu and chose a new destination. However the program doesn't respond to space being pressed at all.

If I try to leave to menu, I get stuck in a loading screen, at which point the only way to close talespire is forcefully via the task manager.

To Reproduce
I clicked on a link on talestavern to open a board in talespire, launching the program in that way. A quick prompt informed me that I need to be in GM mode to open a board, so I clicked on a game I created, clicked play, and ended up with the issue described above
