Unable to create campaign with VPN but also can't load program without a VPN
Describe the Bug
I had recently bought and installed Talespire but found that I was unable to create a campaign as it was “Finding best server for [my] region”. I figured this was due to me using a Surfshark VPN so I had turned it off to see if that fixed the issue.
Then when I restarted Talespire, I found that I was unable to load in as the hourglass kept spinning till it eventually crashed.
So if I turn the VPN on, I could load in but not create a campaign but if I turned the VPN off, I wouldn’t be able to load in at all.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Turn on Surfshark VPN
Install Talespire on Steam
Add “-popupwindow” into the Steam Properties Launch Options (so that the application could fit onto the screen)
Launch Talespire
Set UI Zoom to 1.25%
Turn down Master Volume to 25%
Click “Begin” and create a campaign called “Tester”
Turn off the Surfshark VPN
Launch Talespire
Watch a spinning hourglass for 10 to 15 seconds before the application crashes
